    Hi, i have an avi file with accompanying srt file with the subtitles, but when i play the avi file in media player classic i dont see the accompanying subs. the files otherwise are ok as far as i know and the avi plays fine in all other respects. is there any solution? Thanks.

    This has happened to me a couple of times. Found a tip somewhere to open the .srt in Subtitle Workshop, then click on "Tools", then "Information and Errors..." then "Fix all errors". This has worked for me in the past, but I've read about other cases where it didn't. Guess it depends on what the error is, but it's worth a shot.

    I don't know what error it fixed that did the trick (at its default settings Subtitle Workshop finds a lot of "errors" in any subtitle I've fed it, but the vast majority are not critical to playback).

    Hi-

    name your srt file the same as you movie file:¨

    ex. myviedo.avi and rename srt file to: myvideo.sub

    Don't know if that's the proplem, but try that before anythingelse

    You need to select one of the renderers which supports subtitles.
