I have photodex producer 3 and I'm trying to get the best quality DVD to play since the built-in DVD authoring capabilities don't render the best images. I'm a photographer and want to display the best quality possible with images and text without getting an HD burner and player.

The software can export to mpg 1080p format. Are there DVD authoring tools that can take that and burn it on a regular DVD without compromising the quality?

    Thanks.

Not if you want a regular dvd-video. DVD is 720x480/576 compare to hd 1920x1080/1280x720.

The only way is to author for a HD or BD DVD player for common distribution. There are ways to do this using non-standard techniques (e.g. for digital signage or Kiosks).

    Describe your application.

  4. About the only way to display your images in HD (on an HD display) from a "conventional" DVD player is to buy a player that features "HD JPEG". Those players display jpegs at up to 2 megapixel resolutions, compared to 1/3 megapixel resolutions. You would of course just burn your images to CDROM and not DVD. All this quality is, of course, just visible to you or others who have a "HD JPEG" DVD player connected to an HD display.

Unfortunately, I have a whole slideshow with music in which just showcasing the jpegs will not be an option since I'm trying to create an experience.

I have an Oppo DVD player which upsamples DVDs thru HDMI with the Denon receiver and a Fujitsu screen.

Let me rephrase my original question. Are there software that will resample the 1080p resolution to DVD without sacrificing the quality?

    Thanks again.

  6. The quality has to be reduced, You are reducing the resolution to DVD standard thus you are reducing the quality.
