Tmpgenc will not encode one of my avi's to vcd standard. It seems to be something wrong with the audio, If I change the audio to 44100 it won't work, and gives an error saying problems encoding audio. If I leave it at 48000, it will encode ok. Wil my stand alone dvd player play the sound ok if I trun the vcd compliance off?
Also, I can not work out how you load the VCD template-I have read iser guides, but cannot find it-can anyone help. Also should I use PAL settings if I am in the UK?
Thanks all.

I would seriously try to demux the avi, and resample the audio to 44100. Then TMPGEnc should encode it fine (HINT: make it a 44,100 WAV file, makes direct conversion easier)
Just use the separate video/audio sources for your input streams.
