Can anyone tell me if the following programs are compatible with Vista.
DVDFab Decryptor and DVD Shrink and also a recommended tool to burn the file to DVD?

Yes. And ImgBurn is better to burn with. There is a version of DVDShrink that uses ImgBurn automatically: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869

You do realize you'd need at least 2GB and better if 3GB of RAM to run applications on Vista box, right?

I originally ran it on 512MB, and yes it worked fine, but you could tell it needed the 1GB, I gave in and let Vista have its 1GB which was a big improvement. -
I use 1GB on my test computer with Vista and it works fine. With 512MB as mentioned, the Aero desktop doesn't seem to work very well. I don't want to try any more memory, but it would likely help with some programs. The MS site suggests 512MB minimum.

There is a free Vista compatibility checker at MS dot com. Its also on Vista beta disks.

I have run across one problem. DVDDecrypter crashes and hangs when I close it. Not a big deal because I can kill it in task manager, but still a little annoying.
DVD Shrink, and DVDFabDecrypter work fine.
I'm running Vista Home Premium on a Centrino Core Duo and 1 gb ram.TANSTAAFL -
I just got a new PC, running Windows Vista Home Premium, 1 GB memory.
Previously, on my XP machine, I was using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 with absolutely no problems and perfect ripping/copying performance. However, on Vista, I found some problems:
1. When I try to watch a retail DVD with AnyDVD in the background, the disc doesn't play and the drive hangs
2. If I use AnyDVD in the background to allow me to copy the DVD, and copy with CloneDVD2, my copy is now unplayable on Vista or on my standalone DVD player
Basically, I wonder if Vista's DRM is to blame for this.
I found I could do it in two steps perfectly - run AnyDVD in the background, rip with CloneDVD2 to the hard drive, then turn off AnyDVD and burn the DVD Video TS files with CLoneDVD2. Now, the copy plays in my standalone, but not on my pc.
Is the DRM to blame for these woes?
