Does anyone know a way to set the MPAA Ratings on a Video that you've created and burned yourself?
Thanks in advance!

This question does not make any sense.
MPAA ratings have nothing to do with data on a disc.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

You would need Authoring software that allows setting the "Parental Control" flags (or perhaps utilities that can set them after authoring).
An example would be Sony's DVD Architect (Full version)

If you wish to remove Parental Management, PgcEdit will do that, if used on the DVD files copied to your HDD prior to burning to a blank DVD. There are some notes about this in that tool's help file. Based on what they say, I'm not so sure adding Parental Management when it is entirely absent is as simple and straightforward as setting a flag, though raising or lowering the level may be. You might well need a good authoring tool to add it, auch as the one suggested in the previous post.

Thank you for your replies. It appears that I may need to buy the 'professional' versions of the DVD Authoring tools to have the ability to set the MPAA Ratings flag.
I'm going to email Ulead, Nero and others, to add the ability in their 'plus' versions to set that flag and any other. It shouldn't be hard to add it to their advanced settings.
I imagine that most users don't need it, or want it, but I want to use it to keep my kids from seeing home video's or showing home videos that they shouldn't see. For example: showing child birth videos to their friends. -
These are SPRM 12 and 13 in the spec. They're re not MPAA rating flags but parental management settings which detect which country you have the player set to and plays or does not play the disc. None of those consumer programs will help you. You will need to have an advanced knowledge of the DVD spec to do it in an app like PGC edit or AfterEdit.
Note, parental settings are not supported in many players and not many software players - it basically an old, never used portion of the spec. Why not just hide the discs? Personally I can't think anything more innocent than seeing someone's child birth...but to each their own -
Sonic Scenarist is the only ap that I know of that allows parental settings and other PUO.

Adding PM settings to a DVD is useless if the standalone's and software player's parental settings are not enabled and set to a specific parental level. And many players do support parental settings, it's just they're not enabled, usually requiring a 4-digit password to be created.
PgcEdit cannot add or set parental settings, only remove them. DVD Maestro allows setting of parental levels as well. You can set parental level using a hex editor and IfoEdit, but this requires an advanced knowledge of the DVD spec.
