Nero 7 Ultra Edition Encoding Issues!

I just purchased Nero 7 Ultra Edition and it has done nothing but crap out! I am trying to edit some video captured via tuner card and then burn it as SVCD. Every time it starts to encode the files it erros our "Error 013" and nothing else. I have been using Nero 6 Ultra edition for quite a while and have never had any issues so I can only conclude that their newest version is junk. I have tried reinstalling, using their cleaning tools, different update versions etc. I haven't been able to get it to work once! I fianally uninstalled it and cleaned it out of my registry and reloaded Nero 6 Ultra. I am able to burn again just fine again with version 6 . Any thoughts out there? I have contacted Nero's support and they haen't been any help at all. Thanks!!!!!!!

Let me offer you an easy solution. As you are capturing the clips, save those as AVI files. Then use AVI2DVD to convert those clips to SVCD using HCEnc encoder packaged with AVI2DVD.

Do not use NERO to burn the result. Try VCDEasy [can't remember whether it burns SVCD, but I think it does], otherwise use AVI2DVD to give output in >ISO format and then use ImgBurn to burn it on a CD.
