  1. Should refresh rate for PAL be 50Hz? It's now 60Hz. There's no option for 50Hz, lower rates are 56 and 47 interlaced. I got R9550 card and s-video connection. I use extended desktop to watch videos.

  2. TV output refresh rate is unrelated to the computer monitor's refresh rate. You can run you computer monitor an any refresh rate you want and the PAL composit or s-video will remain 50 Hz. Although, I suppose some equipment might output PAL-60.

  3. I mean secondary monitor refresh rate, which in this case is TV. My primary monitor RR is 75Hz.

Default should be 50Hz for Euro PAL.

Under Catalyst "TV Properties" set to the correct country or force standard PAL B/G.

  7. Is this true: "In case of S-Video connection among all PAL 625/50 standards you'd better choose PAL-D as it ensures higher horizontal sharpness due to a wider bandwidth (6 MHz)."

I don't see why. PAL B/G/D apply to RF broadcast (the tuner properties). They are all the same at baseband. As baseband composite or S-Video, bandwidth from that card should be the same unless ATI is doing something strange.
