dvd player and networking

hi, i got a philips dvp 5960 in my bedroom and i've played some avi's on it via the usb port and a sd card etc.

downstairs i have an xbox softmodded and i can watch anything via the network.

can i plug something in the usb port of my dvd player to get similiar functionality?

are there any nicely price networkable players?

should i just buy another xbox lol.

Yes, and even this on is also from the same family - JVC SRDVD-100U ProHD DVD PLAYER

And I did not suggest I-O Data players because they are enough problematic and many owners complained about them. Check the respectful forums of I-O Data players.
