My PHILIPS SPD24001 won't read blank DVD's

I have never had a problem before with making my own DVD videos with my PHILIPS SPD2400l1 DVD-RW, but for some unknown reason over the last week it won't read blank DVD's. It plays them without problems. I've been re-installing, updating and installing new burning software, but it's still the same. can anyone help me with this please. I did not spend money on a DVD-RW only for it not to work three month's later.

We need a little more info. Exactly what error, if any, are you receiving (and using which software)? What media brand/type/speed are you trying to use? Have you used that brand/type/speed before? Have you tried a different brand/type/speed of media?
