When I copy from a VHS tape into my computer (using Pinnacle Studio 9) then save as MPEG then copy to a DVD (using NERO) it only plays on one of my DVD players. Is there a save to format when making a DVD from a VHS tape that will play on most players?

Are you copying the mpeg straight to disk with Nero or are you authoring a DVD? (Does Nero do authoring?) If you put the mpeg straight to disk then I am not surprised that it plays on only one machine as mpeg file support is relatively low. If you "Author" the disk it will play on more machines. Click on the Author link over there <<<<<<<<.

I am copying is straight to disk with Nero. My objective is to take craft projects I have video taped over the years and put them on DVD's by subject.
I am not familiar with authoring and when I looked at the area on this website it sounds confusing to a neebie like me. I have used decryptor programs for backing up and have seen what is puts in VIDEO_TS is this what I have to create?
