hello ,
usually all my downloaded files are stored in my desktop pc in my bedroom . so now is it possible to use my other pc which is in the living room to play my bedroom pc files ( make a link between them -exactly same as the xbox 360 media center ) so i don't need to move the files every time i want to watch anything ?
i tried ftp and it sucks because everytime u need to play a file u have to download it first from the other pc .
please help .

If they're already connected as you say, right-click on the highest folder (or even the drive itself) containing your files & select SHARING option. Give the share a name (say FILES)
On the OTHER machine, browse thru Network Places, Entire Network, Windows Network then open the Workgroup. In there you should find both machines visible. Open the "master" machine and you'll see the the shared FILES folder. Open that and you're away...just play the files as if they were local without copying them.

Assuming that there is some sort of LAN / Network connectivity between the two machines already, it should be as simple as sharing the highest level folder on your bedroom as say, files, then on your living room PC either go to start > run, and type in \\<insert bedroom PC Name here>\ files, and press Enter. Alternatively you could map a drive to \\<insert bedroom PC Name here>\ files.
If in doubt, Google it. -
but will these folder be shared only inside my home network .
or will they be accesible to others ?
