I have an EVGA Nvidia 7800GT and I used to have an ATI X800Pro both with VIVO and I would like to know what capture chipsets they use. How can I find out?

I believe that the ATI card uses the rage theater chipset. I have a x1900gt and that is the closest that i can get to an answer. As for evga, I have no idea

Go to device manager and open the 'sound, video and game controllers'. It should be listed there.

The name of the board would more likely be in 'Display Adapters' in Device Manager, but easier would be 'Control Panel>Display>Adapter'. But you may not see the chipset name or number.
A nice program that will tell you more than you probably ever want to know about your computer is the freeware SIW: http://www.gtopala.com/index.html Look under 'Display Adapters' when you run the program.
