    My PC's parameters:
Pentium 166 mhz, 64 MB RAM, 1.5 GB HD, Windows 2000

I need an animation program that is goog enough. For example GIMP that competes with Adobe Photoshop in their software area.

At first I intend to transform a 2D to 3D logo and to make it turns on its axis.

    Thank you in advance!

You need a hefty CPU and 3-D card. That computer is not even in the ballbark.

I'm trying to remember what was used back in 1995 for logo effects.

Back then SGI equipment still dominated the field using software from Alias and Wavefront. That tradition has continued with Maya software for use in current generation PCs. Free versions of Maya exist for non commercial use but require at least P4 hardware.

  4. You might try AnimeStudio as it's a 2D animation app that has limited 3D capabilities.

How do you run Win2000 in 64 MB of ram on a 166 mhz CPU ?
3D is very memory and CPU intensive, and I can think of nothing that will run on the hardware you have specified.
