I extracted a 35 sec clip from a DVD movie vob file and saved it (sans audio) as a mpeg file. The clip is 35 seconds long but windows media player plays it, the advancing time bar shows merely 13 seconds yet the clip plays fully.
When inserted into powerpoint it only plays 13 seconds
Whats going on??
It is in NTSC DVD std having 8000CGR

how did you extract it? i use dvd shrink in reauthoring mode to cut out vob clips.
But you can probably fix the corrupt mpg with videoredo and save as a new mpg.
