  1. I've recently been having problems with Windows Media Player freezing my computer when video is played. It only works if I turn the hardware acceleration way down. I did research and found that the latest drivers for my video card (GEForce 6600gt) are conflicting with the motherboard (MB GIGABYTE GA-K8NS Ultra-939). Apparently I need to update the driver for my motherboard. However, I have no idea what to download. I found this page but I'm lost from there: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=1839

I have no idea what chipset, LAN or Raid mean. Can someone help me out?

    Thanks

If you're having conflicts with your video drivers then you'll need to download the video drivers from the GIGABYTE website.

At the GIGABYTE link you provided you need to download from the CHIPSET section:

NVIDIA Chipset driver for nForce3 series (Included LAN driver)
    O.S. : Windows 2000,Windows XP
This is the one you need to download. You can always not install the LAN driver which is your network ethernet connection that's built into your motherboard. Or you can install it as well. I believe you'll be given the opportunity to choose what drivers you want to install. LAN connection is what you use to get on the internet. For example if you have cable modem or dsl connection you would use that LAN connection to connect your cat5 cable to it.

The date on that drive is 2005/05/26. I would guess it's the same version as the one on your motherboards installation cd disk, but maybe not. It shouldn't hurt to try it out.

Just download it to your computer, exit all your programs and run it to install. The program will ask to reboot when its finished so let it.

    Good luck.
