I'm looking to replace some of my record albums (as in the 12" vinyl stuff). I see a choice to buy vintage 80's CD's or newer digitally remastered ones. In this particular case, I'll probably choose the digitally remastered ones because they include additional tracks, but as a general rule, are these things noticably better? And yeah if I already owned the original CD I most likely wouldn't even consider getting the digital remastered version.

Oh heck yeah, especially with older material produced during the 60s/70s/early 80s. If you listened to an earlier Yes CD side by side with the remaster you wouldn't be bothering asking this question.

remastered with bonus tracks is usually better sound, but I am parcial to some specific live tracks or studio versions when it comes to some tunes and finding these remastered/digitized can be tricky.
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

I agree - remastered is usually a better sound. Be a bit cautious if the material is remixed, it can sometimes be a bit of a disappointment if the sound is changed too much. Bonus tracks can be nice but if they are "previously unreleased material" I wouldn't see it as an argument to buy the album unless you are a big fan of the group, there is often a very good reason why the material never was released in the first place.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
