    Hey all!

I have a basic portable DVD player and an awesome new LCD monitor - i got a new computer 'package'. Is there any way to connect just the monitor to the DVD player? I would love to have that in my room instead of a huge tv...

    thanks!

If your DVD player has VGA or DVI outputs and if the monitor has a corresponding VGA or DVI input AND accepts the resolution/refresh rate the player outputs, then it should work fine. The only way to know for sure would be to try it and see.

    ID the model numbers.

Usually a computer LCD monitor needs a display card to do the various format conversions. That is why they are cheap.

This has quite a few inputs to choose from.
