I am wondering for those who have done the region code hack on the Philips 5140 if it can play back 25FPS AVIs on an NTSC TV(before the hack the video was unwatchable it was so choppy)

Region coding has nothing to do with Pal and NTSC video formats, so a region hack will not give any player the ability to do Pal to NTSC conversions on the fly. Some players can do it, most can't.

I'm sure I've watched pal avis on my 5140...I know it plays pal dvds fine.
