  1. hey!

    in the compatibility list. it say it should play svcd?

    however i have tried about 10 diffrent movies.. and none of them work normal vcds work fine though..

    anyone know if u need to do something special when its svcd?

    help is greatly apreciated!!

  2. Tools you need: TMPGEnc to convert videos at mpeg-2 and Vcdeasy, with these application you can make your own SVCDs.

    TMPGenc:

    -start TMPGEnc
    -load video source
    -load the correct SVCD Template (NTSC or PAL)
    -load unlock template (dir Extra)
    -now in TMPGEnc Settings Select under Rate control mode Constant bitrate(CBR) and use 2500 Kbit/s
    *-or try Constant quality(CQ) in settings as Maximun 2500 kbps(instead of 2520 kbps) and Minimun set to 0 or 300 kbps
    -VBV buffer size set to 224 KB instead of 112 KB
    -start encode

    Vcdeasy:

    -Select SVCD 1.0
    -Select your CD Writer
    -Name the CD
    -Select where to make the temporarily output
    -Add your SVCD mpg file(s)
    -Now it is just to hit Go
