NTSC divx to PAL

Hi...

Is there any (preferably easy) way to convert NTSC divx files to PAL format?

No easy way, no.
Basically:
Extract audio.
Change frame rate with AviFrate to 25 fps
Make audio shorter by (25/23.976)=1,0427093760427093760427093760427 (1 hour original NTSC audio becomes 0,95904 hours PAL audio)
Multiplex a+v for a new PAL AVI, or encode to whatever.
That said, most PAL gear plays NTSC fine, so there's verly little reason to do this.

Do you have a specific reason why you would want to convert.
I'm UK based and can use both formats on all my TVs/DVD players etc.
The only problem might be Region coding - thats a different issue but not relevant to divx anyway
However ConvertXtoDVD has options to convert into PAL DVD output, if thats what you mean

The reason is I stream movies from my PC through a dbox2 to the TV - dbox2's definitely DON'T like NTSC of any description - it would only be for the odd file, as most of my stuff is PAL anyway. Is there a decent guide for doing this anywhere?

I just discovered by accident that Nero Vision 4 does very easy NTSC to PAL and vice versa.

Thanks mate - I also just discovered that WinAVI can convert the file(s) to whatever format I want and you can specify the frame rate, and it makes a damn fine job of it... three clicks and its done!
