Hi all..
I have been a silent member in this site and hv got some wonderful guides in convertin AVI, DivX files to VCD without losin the quality..THNX.
Now i need the same to be done in a DVD Disc..i.e., AVI, WMV files to be put into DVD Disc and played in Philips DVD Player..
I searched and got many guides in this site but not sure of workin on these..I tried but dont want to experiment on my own..so need ourexperts guidance in doin this..
I have several movies in avi and wmv format..how can i put all these movies into one dvd disc "WITHOUT LOSING THE ORIGINAL QUALITY". Atleast 3 movies in one disc 4.7gb.
Quality is most important for me cos all these are dvdscreeners and amazing pictures..
Pls help me out in this issue..

Short answer : You can't. Period.
Your avi files can possibly be burned as-is to a data DVD and played in the Philips, if it supports Divx/Xvid playback.
All the rest will have to be converted, and this will cost you quality. It will cost you a lot of quality if you try to put more than one movie per single sided DVD.
And trust me, the quality is not as good as you would like to think (a long way short of DVD quality), and the all the flaws you either cant' currently see, or more likely, don't want to see, will be very evident after you convert to DVD.
The only way you can get these movie onto DVD at DVD quality is to go and buy them
On a side note, if you think you are converting your AVI files to VCD without losing quality then either they are rubbish quality to begin with, or you really don't know what quality is. VCD is a low resolution, low bitrate format. You cannot use Quality and VCD in the same sentence unless the sentence is "Did you see that VCD, gee the quality was sh*t"Read my blog here.

Try ConvertXToDVD. It does about as well as any and is easy to use for conversion to DVD. You should be able to get 2 per DVD on average, 3 is pushing it and will likely lower the quality further. But that depends on their running time.
The long way and arguably the best is to use a separate MPEG-2 encoder and authoring program. But they do have a sharper learning curve.
