    Howdy,
I have a Panasonic AG-1980 hooked up to a Dazzle 150b. The problem I have is that the audio works fine, but I'm getting absolutely no video at all. Well, occasionally I'll get a flicker on the preview screen in Pinnacle Studio 9.4, but never real video. There is somewhat of problem knowing whether it's the VCR or the Dazzle that's broken I'm using S-Video as that is all it seems to have( besides some strange professional looking video outputs on the back ) and I haven't been able to test yet whether or not my S-Video port works on my Dazzle, but I know my regular composite video port does as I've tried my old VCR on it.

Oh, I hope it's just a switch I haven't thrown! Please help! Please dialog!

I am not familiar with the Dazzle 150b, but my guess is that it requires you to select the S-Video or the Composite input for capturing. This selection might be provided by the software application, or it may be a physical switch on the hardware. On some devices, just plugging in a composite cable overrides the S-Video input or vice versa.

BTW, the strange professional looking video outputs on the back are BNC Female connectors that provide composite connections. A BNC Male to RCA Female adapter would allow you to use your standard Composite Video cables.
Life is better when you focus on the signals instead of the noise.
