I recently got a Panasonic DMR-ES35VS. It is patched into my Avid Arenaline. I have been using DVD-r to make dubs but am not having much luck getting them to play in other peoples units. The dvds tend to freeze up in different places...Any thoughts...

Please note that after i burn the media onto the DVD I am finalizing before removing from the player...

    Any advise would be great.

  2. What discs are you using? Freezing/skipping is usually poor quality media. Try Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim discs.

Your Japanese-badged product is likely to prefer Japanese media for best results. Media made by TY or MCC (Verbatim).

Although other equipment gets good results with more commonly available media, some brands do not.
