  1. i have winavi 7.0 i can convert avi to dvd so far my problem is that when i'm gonna convert again it wants me to override the first file, i also tried svcd n it won't convert for some reason it start n stops like 10 seconds into it,is there a manual out there for us that we can look at to make sure we doing it right,also i have a iomagic dual layer burner 16,16,8 dvd- n dvd +. everytime i used nero the driver in used at the end of transcoding any idea why, i called the company of the burner they gonna send me a new one,also the dvd blank gets stuck in the burner n i gotta reboot for it can come out , if u have any idea on how i can make it work both the winavi or the burner please email me.

    as far as your converting goes, if when you go to select a new file to convert and it gives you the do you want to override message, then before you try to convert a new file, you need to go to the converted file and rename it. it usually just gives it some generic name like dvd_1_1. if for some reason you don't go and change the file name, just say no to overriding it. then it will save the new files something like dvd_2_1.

    Best way to deal with WinAVI is to uninstall it. convertx2dvd is the tool for oneclick AVI to DVD.
    Best overall solution is of course to get a DVD player that also plays AVI. Can be had for about the same money as convertx2dvd or WinAVI.
    It'd also help with the odd punctuation, capitalization, splitting up your post in sentences and paragraphs & cetera
