I am having problems with WinDVD 8 Platinum Player:

    1. Cannot activate in Windows Vista RC1,I enter key and a message comes up:
"Internal Error, please contact Technical Support"
Well I have been trying since November to get some support but never get any response, all I
get is an automatic reply saying they will get back to me within 48 hours.
    2. Cannot open in XP, press mouse on desktop logo and nothing happens.
I have tried re-installing, deleting registry files, etc but makes no difference.

I have gone back to using WinDVD 7 until I can resolve these problems.

Hi, I thought I was the only one with this problem. Ihave e-mailed INTERVIDEO numerous accasions, but mist of my e-mails get returned "address unknown". i ALSO HAVE windvd7, but thought it would be the best to upgrade to TOP OF THE RANGE (at no small expense and this is wher it got me.
I am still hunting for solutions, which I will gladly post, but should anyone find a solution before me, please.
I actually really like the WINIDVD Platium Pro (While it was still work).
Does anyony think that it could be related to thr fact that I use JRiver MEdia Centre.

    Many thanks

I have even faxed the CEO of Intervideo but still no response.
I doesn't give me a good impression of their commitment to
    Customer Service.
I am hoping DVD 8 will work with the final version of Vista,if not,
    I'll be phoning this time.
No,I don't think your problem is related to RRiver Media Centre and I have the same problem with both XP & Vista RC1 although initially it did work on XP.
I am using DVD 7 without any problems on XP but obviously I
want to use DVD 8 as it is fully Vista compatible(or so they say).
    You would think otherwise.
Hope that someone can come up with a solution for both of us.

    All the best Charlie

    Hi Roger,
Agree 100% - I dont think they take their customer service seriously at all. I could also revert back to WINDVD7, but my point is I paid for WINDVD8, and if they cannot solve the problem, they should refund us (like hell they will!?).
As I live in South Africa, the cost for VISTA will propably not afford me the cost of buying it soon, so I am out of luck there for a while at least.
Another thing, all my messages I e-mail to them gets returned to me, even if I reply directly to email address, do you have the same problem?
    Kind regards,
    Charlie
