  1. New PC, XP Pro SP2, IE7, Windows Media Player 11. I cannot get any web video files to progressively download. They all must COMPLETELY download to a temp folder before I can begin playing them. My old PC (XP Pro SP1, IE6, Windows Meida Player 10) progressively downloads just fine. I compared all of the settings between the two PCs, but maybe I missed something. For the life of me I can't figure this one out! HELP!! Thanks in advance!! Rich

  3. ...to what, please? I currently have this PC (and my old one with WMP 10 installed) set to default buffering, and the old computer progressively downloads beautifully. If I manually change the buffer settings in WMP 11 on the new PC, for how many seconds should I allow buffering for this to make a difference?

It's upon your network speed. If you have a high speed ADSL and up cable, you can set it as low as possible. Otherwise you can set a higher value.

Actually, you mean streaming, not progressive.

Are you having the issue with a particular file type?

  6. NO, I DO mean progressive downloading, and YES, I HAVE resolved the problem!

The problem is IE7!! When I installed Mozilla Firefox, it progressively downloads quicker than greased lightning!! Thanks to all that have contributed to this thread!!
