You can put the video into VirtualDub Mod and save out the audio as WAV audio with full processing. Or you may just be able to convert it directly to MP3 in VDM. I usually just save it out. You could add it back in if you can't do a conversion directly to MP3. I also use the Lame MP3 codec for the MP3 encode as it has more options. Set the video to direct stream processing and save the converted video with the new audio. This only takes a short time. Then maybe WinAVI will accept it.

Or try ConvertXToDVD instead. It does handle Ogg audio and works better than WinAVI in most all conversions and doesn't have all the problems that WinAVI seems to have. You can do a forum search for WinAVI and read a few of the recent complaints.

    And welcome to our forums.

To extract the audio to WAV with VDM: https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=280779

As mentioned, you may just be able to convert it to MP3 with VDM. If not, just add the WAV back in and then convert to MP3. Then use full audio processing and Direct stream copy on the video. That will combine the audio back with the video and output the new file.

If the lag is constant you can fix it with the audio skew function in VDM. This post : https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=316884 will walk you through finding the delay and fixing it.
