  1. Well, im currently using the *Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II* that came with my HP PC.

My goal is to capture video while i play my xbox 360.

Ive tried to run a basic Video/Audio cable from my TV Output, to my Video Input, and have also tried connecting the xbox360 directly to it.

Using Windows Movie maker, i cant seem to get an Image to show up at all.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the output resolution setup right? Like 720x480 NTSC.... etc. I'm not familiar with xbox video output settings but I would imaging that is where the problem is.

Also, did you select the proper input in your capture card..... s-video or composite-in? Whichever one you have connected....

    Good luck.

The static filled screen in virtualdub is probably it's default input from 'tuner' setting (the coax input). If you are using s-video or the composite video input you will need to select it in the Capture Source menu item.

    Good luck.

  5. well ive tried everything.

But i want it to work this way.

Xbox -> TV -> Capture card.

So i can play on my tv, and capture it on my PC.
But i cant get Anything to show. I tried every video setting in my 360 and nothing helped.

  6. Well i managed to get it to work.

I slide the HD button off on the Xbox360 output..
Ran the RGB to the TV and the Yellow/red/white composites to the Computer (the xbox cable is split, incase you dont have an HD TV).

Now i got video and audio on Vdub, but only video on windows movie maker.

But i loose HD and get no sound on my TV....

    So its a loose loose.

Id really prefer to have the video output come from my TV to the capture card. But i cant get that to work.
