  1. I just got a laptop and all the things that i'm finding at to connect to it to my TV seem to be SVHS/Scart, but mine has no SVHS socket, is there a USB/Scart avalible. Also around the front there is 3 inputs a red one for a mic, a green one for something else and a blackone for head phones.

This is the one i've got. http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/121052/rb/23980628457

I'm not great with hardware so i don't know where to start with this so any advice would be great, thanks very much. I'm from the UK so if anyone has a UK site to buy the thing from that would be great.

You probably need a VGA to scart converter. Have a look on eBay, there's some going for under a tenner.

This is how I have connected a similar laptop:
    - you have to buy 2 adaptors, one for video and one for audio,
    - first adaptor should be scart which has S-video input and stereo audio input. You put that one in your TV.
    - the second adaptor (for audio) goes in your laptop where is the connector for headphones. This adaptor has 2 stereo audio chinch outputs.

Now, simply use S-video cable to connect your laptop (it is on right side on my laptop) to the scart adaptor in your TV, and stereo audio chinch cable to connect audio adaptor which is in your laptop to the scart adaptor to your TV.

  4. Cheers for the help.

I was trying to find a tutorial on how to do it. It says it has no TV out, does this mean i will not be able to connect it to my TV or does this mean i have to do it in a different way other than the S-Video. I have a VGA to Scart cable but this doesn't seem to work, in the manual it says to hit FN + F5 to toggle monitors, i tried this and it didn't work, is this because it has no TV out or do i need something more than the VGA/Scart to hook it up.

    Thanks.
