Copied dvd playback problems

I download a film usually in avi or mpg format, i covert them to dvds using winavi, then put them through dvd shrink to make the dvd intself. When i play them on my dvd player, some films start pausing, or sometimes completley just stop playing. This usually happens half way through the film. The odd thing is, i can watch them on my pc with no problems. I use dvd+.

ive used many different makes of disc, and i get the same problems.

If i copy an original dvd, its rare the playback has a problem.

It could be WinAVI. Have you tried ConvertXToDVD instead?
