    Hey

I have just got TMPGenc DVD Author
playing around with it now, got several video files on my hard driving trying to make one dvd.
Ive got the jist of the program except one thing.
Does it have to be mpeg 2 files?
The videos i have are working on it fine ( so far) but when i put them on it says they are mpreg 1. I dont even know the difference.
So do i need to convert them to mpeg 2?

I have winff and SUPER, just seems to be making a long process even longer.
I normally just use divx to dvd once i have the video and make a compilation dvd with dvd shrink-which is very easy and quite quick, but i have to watch in order and have no menu.
I did notice when i made a dvd although i put 2 seperate video files in the program, and it made 2 different sections in the menu screen it only put one of the videos on the dvd. weird

As long as the video resolution is valid for DVD you shouldn't have a problem. TDA will take care of the audio resampling for you.

So long as they are DVD-compliant, either MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files should be fine.

See https://www.videohelp.com/dvd for DVD compliance information.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    ok thanks.

how come though it only output one of the video files instead of two?

I have the pdf guide on how to author a dvd with TMPGenc dvd author and followed.
Didnt edit or add extra chapter, just put two 800meg videos in, made a menu and burnt it to dvd.
Somehow the second video got lost along the way. Im stumped.

How did you add the second video? If you click add a track it will make it a seperate video that will play after the first but have its own menu if you select the menu that way. if you simply add it in the same track it will only play consecutively.

    Example - A-B or A, B

A-B meaning having only one title track with two videos in it

A, B meaning two seperate title tracks each with one video.

Also it won't accept the second video if its not in dvd format - make sure BOTH video files are in dvd format before authoring otherwise it won't accept them.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?
