I bought an LCD tv 26" HD Ready and I am wanting to connect my pc to it.
I am using a normal male to male VGA cable that has a DVI adapter at the pc end.
Except when I follow the instructions on connecting, I get nothing but the default blue screen on the tv.
The instruction book states to make a connection whilst both tv and pc are off and that windows will detect the tv and set it up for use.

Is there anything I am doing wrong?
(I cannot call the manufacturers, they shut 30 minutes ago)

you have to go into your display properties by either =rt clicking= on your desktop Or left ? I'm lefthanded so my buttons are reversed, anyway,go to =properties=, you can also get there thru your =start/control panel/display= buttons. on the last tab =settings= set your resolution to your tv specs prob 1024x768 or 1280x768 or even 1280x1024 then go to your advanced tab and go thru those new tabs that come up adjusting it to your tv specs. I just figured this out last night on my 27 inch lcd but i am using my s-video cord because i have my sony 15 inch monitor using my rgb/serial cord with the screwy things on them still hooked up to my laptop without it's broken display monitor. times are hard here in paradise buti keep adapting! good luck if you need more info let me know gmarie808@gmail.com 8)

Mine is setup at 1280x768 through VGA and I'm about to buy a HDTV card/USB Dongle so I can watch FUNmation's anime channel which is available locally.
