I just bought the new Sony DCR DVD 505. It burns onto a mini DVD.

Question: How do I edit what movie I shot? Is there a software for this? Is there a way to put two or three miniDVDs of movies on one DVD? How do I get a regular DVD menu with chapters, titles. etc.

    Thanks for reading this,

Assuming it's in DVD format, you could use VOB2MPG to convert them to MPEG files, then just use a MPEG editor like VideoReDo or MPEG-VCR or similar. Then when you have it all the way you want it, convert it to DVD format with a authoring program like TMPGEnc DVD Author or for freeware, DVDAuthorgui or GUI for dvdauthor. The authoring program does the chapters and menus.

Regarding converting to MPEG - the camera comes with (should have come with) a program called Picture Package DVD Viewer. When you finalize the disc and put it in your PC (or you can just connect the camera) DVD Viewer will show you the individual MPEGs. Then you can select them all, hit Copy to Hard Disk, and you will have the MPEGs on the PC. Then you can do the editing (I use MPEG-VCR) and authoring.

As for putting three discs on one - camcorderinfo.com has a sticky:
