SVCD2DVD converting properly but not being recgonized when burned

I have a couple of problems that i am hoping to solve. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first concern is the fact that i got SVCD2DVD a week ago and got the newest build SVCD2DVD v2.1.2474, this program was recomended to me by my neighbor and he had the program for over a year now. Prior to the program i had the program DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4.0 (I now know that the program is not legal anymore and not distributed, but i had the program before it was banned). In addition my neighbor who has had SVCD2DVD for over a year has been using DVD Decrypter as a burner for SVCD2DVD after the conversion has been made, but in my SVCD2DVD prefrences DVD Decrypter is not an option for a burner after the conersion is made, now i only have three options Image Burn2 +, copy to DVD, and Nero Burner, i have tried all three after the files have been made and non of the dvd burning programs have worked (i know the converting is working because i have sucessfully convertind files within SVCD2DVD from PAL to NTSC and have been able to preview the converted file on my PC including the menues i have created with SVCD2DVD too). In addtiition to creating an MPEG Movie wich is usually 4.3 GB it also creates SVCD2DVD_output folder and within the folder is two more folders an Audio TS and an Vidio TS folder containing multiple files IFO,DVD MOvie Info, and DVD Movie, the problem i have is ot with converting the files because SVCD2DVD seems to be doing that but my problem is with burnung those files to a disc does anyone have any advice on how to sucessully burn the converted files to a DVD and what is a good program to use?

So far both programs Copy to DVD and Image to Burn 2+ have not burned a DVD because within seconds of beging to burn the ocnverted files an error ocurs and it does not sucessfully complete the burn

The only program that i have had luck with so far is Nero Burner and although no errors occured during the burn after SVCD2DVD converted the files the DVD play whihc is a Sony CD/DVD player DVP-NS575P (my neighbor has the same DVD player and all his DVD that he burns with SVCD2DVD works) does not recgonize the disc

If anyone has any advice or help any thing will be greatly appreciated because i am at the point of giving up because i have wasted at least 15 to 20 Memorex DVD-R's so far

IMGBurn is a great choice for burning the DVD's. What is the error you get when using it?

The disc not playing in your stand alone player could be a media type issue, have you tried a different brand of media? Do the Memorex DVD's play OK in your PC? Have you tried them in a different brand of player?

My guess is that trying a different brand of DVD-R will cure your problems.

I will try another type of media but the media i am using is not even recognized in my PC right after the burn it still says blank disc. I am not sure if it is the media but will try another brand does anyone have any recommendations?

I have one other question too my neighbor has SVCD2DVD v2.12294 but but my SVCD2DVD version is v2.1.2474. Is there any way i can get the older version that my neighbor has and install it on my PC?

Try Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs. Look up the compatibility chart for your burner, some do better with certain DVD's. Have you tried the discs in another player? Do your neighbor's SVCD2DVD created discs play in your Sony player? If so, what brand of disc is he using?

Are you setting SVCD2DVD to do your burning for you? What is the error you get with IMGBurn?

As for the older version, does you neighbor still have a copy of the .msi or .zip he downloaded? That should work fine with your registration details.
