Setting up DVD Recorder + VCR + Dish 301 sat box + RF A/V 28" TV

Hey, I'm just wondering if I setup those items like this would it work?

Sat cable --> to Sat box --> cable to BOTH VCR and DVD Recorder? meaning I'd have to buy an SW21 switch? --> then VCR cable to TV?

would that work?

What I want to use it for is both recording TV and home made movies.
