Has anyone tried converting a standard DVD to High Def Divx (720P or 1080P)?
I was wondering if it would provide a better picture to first convert the movie to DIVX 720P or 1080P then play on a High Def TV with a pc or just get an upconverting DVD player.

Just get a upconverting dvd player.
Or use your PC and upconvert the DVD and output to your TV.
You wont get any better quality by converting to DivX.
