    Is there a program that can split DVD files (vob)? And perhaps convert it to mpeg or avi?

    I only want like 10 minutes of the middle of it.

    I can't think of any off the top of my head, but taking a look in the tools section would be a good start, and a search of the forums wouldn't hurt either...

    vob2mpg for mpg conversion

    mpg2cut2 for cutting the vob (can cut vob directly without conversion to mpg).
