I have 2 ogm files which I think that they are in dvix 5 format I kind of uderstand I think that ogm is part of ogg media file.
But my question is do i have to convert them if my dvd player playes dvix format and ultra dvix format as well.
If i have to convert them which tools do I use I looked in the convert section and under ogm to dvix and it came up empty
Any suggestions or help on this is great.
Thx inadvance

Depends if your player supports ogm or not. I believe some can handle it.
Otherwise if the video is DivX, it should be a simple matter of remuxing, although the audio probably needs converting since chances are it is vorbis. Whether you remux to divx or avi would depend I guess on whether the ogm contains chapters/subs and if you want to keep them or not. -
I would assume that they were talking about the video. Especially since they said DivX 5 and the divx media format came with DivX 6.
Aside from that ogm is not ogg vorbis format. ogm is a hack/extension of the ogg container format (ogg is the container, vorbis is just audio) to support VfW/ACM streams, subtitles and chapters.
Super as far as I know doesn't support the DivX media format. Also ffmpeg and mencoder which I believe it mainly uses don't support DivX encoding either. Only Xvid and libavcodec MPEG-4.
