Hi all, I am a newbie here. I bought a Hauppauge PVR150 card to help me to encode all my 8mm footage to mpeg2 at 8Mbps CBR (video) and 384kbps (audio). Then, I DEMUX the resulting .mpg file using simple demux in TMPGEnc for mpeg2. Then, I use mpeg2schnitt to cut out the junk. To author the DVD, I use Ifoedit (just add chapter with a celltimes.txt - every 5 min). Finally, I use nero burning rom to burn it to DVD.
My question is what is the extent of quality loss would I be facing especially after I have converted to mpeg file using pvr150?
Thanks a million for any reply.

None. All the other steps (TMPGEnc - demux / mpeg2schnitt - cut / IfoEdit - author) are 'lossless'.
