Programs for PVR-500

Hello
Newbie .... I have visited Video help plenty of times in the past and donated to this great website.
I want to get all my VCR tapes captured with my PVR-500. Is there any programs that work well with my PVR-500 and capture my videos into MP4 and Mpeg2 or multiple formats. One of the programs I do have is nero 7 .
I would like to hear what programs people use with this capture card and what works well.

I also would like to capture my local radio station with my PVR-500.Is this possible if so how?
