i can't capture movies from a sony handycam dcr trv22e. I can actually capture using windows movie maker and the system recognizes the camera. But in premiere pro 2 there's a message that says me to reset the camera. what to do?
thank you

Call Adobe support?
A good alternative is to capture with WinDV (free) and then import the file into Premiere. Premiere2 is a resource hog and needs a hefty computer to run. WinDV is minimalist and should be more reliable for DV transfer on an average computer.
Looks like you are running on a laptop with a 40GB hard disk. Good luck getting Premiere Pro 2 running on that.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

yes, shure this is a good alternative, i can also capture with windows movie maker. But i would like to know why it doesn't run. I used premiere 7 and i had no problems in capturing, but with premiere 2 doesn't go. I have installed the same premiere in my brother's pc and after connecting the camera everything was ok the movie was captured...my pc is a dell inspiron 510m laptop with an intel r pentium r m processor 1500 mhz - 1.5oghz - 512 mb di ram and premiere 2 runs very well when i do all the operations except capturing. Premiere actually "see" the camera but there's a message telling me that there are non controller for my camera. So i have tried to start the camera and starting a capture manually but it doesn't run...
