When the Pop up appears asking you to install binaries, you'll notice that the bottom two mencoder and mplayer are still red, meaning that they are not correctly installed. You have to actually unzip the file ffmpegXbinaries20060307.zip before you can install the binaries. once you unzip this file to a new folder, you can then "locate" the actual binaries and install them, via the install binaries popup.

Then you'll be able to encode files using the divx memcoder.

I'm new to this so i could be totally wrong, but the problem you describe is the same one i've been having, and that's what i had to do to fix it. I'm new to OS X, so i've not come across the binaries things before.

I am having the same problem, however all my binaries are correctly installed.

I am trying to convert .mov to .flv.

The process information states that the encoding is finished and the file shows up in my destination folder, but it is zero bytes. The info shows this:

    Any idea what's up?

    Thanks
