  1. I've tried several times but it's either a 5 or so gig file that is unplayable or it's a 1.8 gig file that plays but it only a quarter of the movie. it looks good and dts is passing thru but it just isn't the whole movie.

What did you use to rip it? If I remember correctly Hangover and Hangover II use one of the types of copy protection that the older ripping programs don't understand. While I am not a Handbrake user I can tell you that I know people who use it and I've heard of a few films that it just can't seem to encode. This has just been met with a shrug of the shoulders and the affected users either give up or use another program for such films. But let's pursue the ripping question first as that would definitely cause you to have this issue if you are using certain older rippers.

Your version of AnyDVD is good enough to understand any unusual copy protection methods that may or may not be Hangover II, so that's not it. At least that's good to know. I don't use Handbrake so maybe what you did helped. All I can tell you is that I know Handbrake is sometimes fussy and the people I know who use all fancy themselves as being "video gurus" yet when it fails they don't know why and have no suggestion on what you can do otherwise.
