    Hello everyone,

PLEASE PLEASE help if you can!!!!

I am trying to copy old VHS tapes I own that are copyright protected to a DVD. I own a VCR/DVD recorder as 1 unit. I get the copyright protection on most videos's. However, I have seen you can copy the VCR tape to your DVR and then from there to your DVD. I have DirectTv with a DVR. Can anyone please please please tell me how this is done. I am hoping my frustration will end soon!!!!!

    Thank you.

There is a Sima unit called something DVD Copy. Bestbuy carries it. It strips off the Macro protection.

Assuming your dual device allows you to play a VHS tape and do DVD recording at the same time, just get video/audio cables to go between the VHS output and the DVD Recorder input with the Sima unit installed between the video input and output. Also assuming the dual unit is a good one, this will give you very good results with little additional investment.
Some days it seems as if all I'm doing is rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic
