high definition camcorder

Hi does anyone know what the top high definition camcorder is .I know sony has one but has any other companies come oiut with a competive model.Im looking to buy one but dont want to buy sonething ,then six months later something better comes out.

Then you will never buy one. Consumer HD is still in it's early days. Expect more and more HD cameras to arrive on the shelves, with ever increasing capabilities and quality, as HD becomes more common and cheaper everywhere else. Somethikng better is always around the corner. If it's not a better HD camera, it will be the next standard to replace HD. Either buy, or don't ever buy.
