I have a divx avi film that i have converted into a dvd using nero vision 3.0 (great program)

It plays perfectly well on my dvd player. But i want to send it to a friend in the usa.

How do i find out what region this dvd is that i have made? Or maybe its region free?

Is there a software that i can use to find this out?

    thanks

It doesn't have a region. Most one-click-wonders don't set a region. Some authoring tools can set one, but don't by default.

The bigger issue will be the format - is it PAL or NTSC. Open one of the vobs with the latest g-spot (2.60 beta n) and check the pics/per second. If it is 25 it is PAL, and will probably cause him grief. If it is 23.976 or 29.970 then it is NTSC and not a problem at all.

He will be able to play a PAL dvd on his computer but in North America there are few DVD player-TV combinations that will handle it.

    Hi

PGCEdit can change the region for you before burning.
