Hoping someone has conversion codes for the Coby 1390 or 2090. Please pos if you do or confirm whether it even can be converted. Thank you.

I've never seen a hack for any type of "combo" unit. You are wasting your time IMO.

I've actually seen codes for an earlier Coby TV-DVD combo (1350) which is why I asked.

Hacks for combo players of various types are quite rare. In general it can't be done. No harm in asking as maybe you will be the random person who asks and gets a reply that works, but usually if you have to ask that means that there isn't a code for your player. Be aware that DVD players really aren't designed to last without lots of air cooling. I could be wrong on this but off the top of my head I would not expect a TV/DVD player combo to have adequate air cooling for the DVD player. Don't be surprised if in maybe 2-3 years the player stops working.

One aspect of this that might help, is whilst it may not play region free, if you make a back up of the dvd it may play the region free dvd which results.
