I remember I used MusicMatch Jukebox to create Mp3 files, and then give them tag such name of song and artist. When I played the Mp3 Disc in the DVD player it just showed up as song 001 to 500 and it was a guess as to what song was which. Is there a way to keep the name of the song when making a disc to play in one's DVD player? Was it something lacking in the features of the DVD player or something in the way Music Match created the Mp3 Disc? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me on this topic.

Seems like MusicMatch keeps an internal database to keep track of song/album/artist names. It's been discussed recently in another thread. If your player doesn't support ID3 tags, you'll have to be content with the file name being displayed, if anything at all.
You could author the mp3 as Video DVD with Audio DVD Creator for DVD playback.
