Hi,
I have a homemade dvd (vob files) and I want to make a nice menu to it.
Which software can make with background music (I choose) and with moving video screenshots on the chapter.
I have searched and many of the programs have to be in avi-files but I have vob-files?

No good quality programs expect avi files. They will expect mpeg files, some will accept VOB files, although mos good authoring tools will prefer or expect you to demux the video and audio from them.
Borax's suggestions are good ones. The secret to good menus isn't the authoring tools, it's the planning and prep work that goes into them. If you just want to open up the software and have a pretty menu waiting, turn off your brain, buy an imac and get iDVD.
If you want to be truly creative, plan your menu out first, use the right tools to create the bits you need, and use your authoring tool to bring it all together at the end of the process.Read my blog here.
