I'm running XP Pro and have been having various problems for several months now. I have not re-installed XP for several years, but I fear it's about that time. Probably very clogged with all kinds of crap.
I was thinking about buying Vista when it comes out, but thats still almost three months away. I don't want to re-install XP and all my apps now, and then do it again when Vista comes out.
I think I already know the answer, but thought I'd ask anyway: If I install Vista RC2 now, can I simply do an upgrade when the release version comes out or would I have to start from scratch (which is what I'm guessing)?
BTW, my biggest problem right now is intermintant reboots. I haven't been able to narrow it down to any one thing. Event viewer has not shown me anything. It sometimes happens when I click a link, click on print, or even on it's own when I'm not even sitting at it.
